ALBANY, N.Y., November 15, 2006 — One of the Capital Region’s most popular holiday events, the Albany Medical Center’s 23rd annual Dancing in the Woods champagne ball, will be held from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1 at the Riverview Center at 150 Broadway, Menands. The event benefits the Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Albany Med.
A dedicated team of volunteers will transform the vacant space into an elegant candlelit venue. The event, catered by Michael’s Catering/Franklin Plaza, will feature an open bar, champagne station, raw bar, hors d’oeuvres, and an array of unique desserts. Musical entertainment will be provided by the New York Players Entertainment Group. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend.
For the sixth consecutive year, Capital District Physicians’ Health Plan (CDPHP) is the lead sponsor.
