Albany, N.Y., June 16, 2006 – The Albany Medical Center Foundation has named Amy Raimo, C.M.D., A.P.R., director of corporate and foundation relations. Raimo, who has been employed by the Medical Center for three years, will be responsible for overseeing the Center’s corporate and foundation fundraising efforts.
In her new position, Raimo will continue to build relationships with donors and others around the Medical Center community, including corporations, alumni, and individuals. She will be responsible for grants and proposals, while ensuring that potential financial resources adhere to the Center’s three-prong mission of patient care, biomedical research and medical education.
Raimo previously worked as director of principal gifts for the Foundation, during which she cultivated strategic relationships with alumni of Albany Medical College and managed the grateful patient/special project programs for Albany Medical Center Hospital. She holds a degree from Smith College in addition to certifications in marketing and public relations. Raimo is the president-elect of the Junior League of Schenectady, Inc. Board of Directors and received the President’s Award from that organization in 2004.
