ALBANY, N.Y., April 20, 2006—Free skin cancer screenings will be provided on Saturday, May 6 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at New York Oncology Hematology, P.C., at Albany Medical Center.
The screenings are offered in recognition of Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness Month in May, and are part of a national campaign to encourage early detection and teach prevention of skin cancer, the most common form of cancer in the United States.
The screenings are sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology, Capital District Dermatological Society, the American Cancer Society, the New York State Capital District Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society, New York Oncology Hematology, P.C., and the Albany Medical Center.
