Albany, N.Y., April 6, 2006 – Diana Martin has been named assistant vice president for marketing
at the Albany Medical Center, northeastern New York’s only academic health sciences center. In
this position, Martin will have responsibility for overseeing all marketing and branding efforts,
providing leadership for a wide range of advertising and promotional initiatives in support of the
institution’s strategic plan. She will report to Greg McGarry, vice president for communications.

excellence of the Medical Center’s programs and services continues to be recognized and
appreciated by the public.”
Martin is native of Schenectady and a graduate of Union College. She most recently served as
vice president, director of communications and education for WMHT Educational
Telecommunications. For eight years prior, Martin was senior vice president at the Advertising
Council in New York City, the nation’s largest provider of public service advertising. Earlier in
her career, Martin served as executive director of The Lyn and Norman Lear Foundation, and as a
communications specialist in the Executive Branch in Washington, D.C. She currently resides in
Niskayuna with her husband, Richard.
