Albany, N.Y., March 15, 2006— Children will be able to learn about health care during the 10th annual “Teddy Bear Hospital Day” from 1 – 4 p.m. Saturday, April 8, in Choices CafÉ at the Albany Medical Center. Children can bring their teddy bears to the event for a check-up by a medical student and learn about basic medical procedures by participating in hands-on activities.
The medical students also will teach the children about general health and good nutritional habits and how to dial 911. There also will be an opportunity to see inside the “Albany MedFlight” helicopter as well as an ambulance and fire truck. Refreshments will be served. Admission and parking are free.
