Cancer Survivor to Conduct Motivational Workshop for Others Affected by Cancer
   October 14, 2005


ALBANY, N.Y., October 14, 2005—Local cancer survivor George P. Kansas has partnered with the Albany Medical Center and New York Oncology Hematology to present “Jumper Cables for the Soul: Recharge Your Life After a Cancer Diagnosis, Treatment and Survival”—a motivational presentation designed to help cancer patients, their friends and caregivers, cope with cancer.   


The event will take place from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road. Light refreshments will be served. Seating is limited. Reservations can be made by calling (518) 262-1000 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.


Kansas, a Delmar native, has dedicated his life’s work to helping busy people strike a healthy, nurturing balance between professional and personal responsibilities and physical and spiritual growth.  Founder of Leadership Motivation, LLC, Kansas is also president of Yodeling Loon Records and co-founder of Rock2Rebuild, World Class Charitable Concert Events. He and colleague Jeff Mirel raised more than $30,000 earlier this year for the Asian tsunami relief efforts, and have organized a similar concert being held Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Palace Theatre for hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
