ALBANY, N.Y., February 15, 2005 - Kristopher Kusche has been promoted to assistant vice president of information services at the Albany Medical Center with responsibility for leading clinical information systems and clinical engineering efforts.
Since 1993, Kusche has served as director of clinical engineering at the Medical Center. He was also recently appointed Albany Medical Center’s information systems security officer. During his tenure with clinical engineering, Kusche was responsible for the management of all medical devices and systems and has been instrumental in creating and implementing many of the current medical technology reinvestment plans. Kusche is also recognized nationally as an advisory board member to the Emergency Care Research Institute (known at ECRI) and as the vice chair of the University Health System Consortium Technology and Facilities Management Council.
