ALBANY, N.Y., January 12, 2005 - William C. Hasselbarth, C.P.A., who has served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at the Albany Medical Center for the past six years, has been promoted to the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer at AMC.
“Since joining the senior management team here at the Medical Center, Bill has made innumerable contributions that have helped us improve the way we conduct our business,” stated James J. Barba, chairman of the Board of Directors and president and chief executive officer. “He has overseen the successful financing of a variety of critical facilities and projects as well as implemented a number of programs and procedures that have helped to strengthen our financial systems and performance. We congratulate Bill on this well-deserved promotion.”
Hasselbarth joined the Medical Center staff in 1998 after serving as vice president for finance for St. Peter’s Healthcare Services. He currently serves as chair of the finance committee of the Healthcare Association of New York State and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Public Accountants.
